About the Course

In this week-long camp, young bakers will learn the fundamentals of baking – from reading and following recipes to measuring out ingredients. Bakers will practice their skills by baking and decorating cupcakes and making scratch cookies. Each baker will take home a personal box of their decorated cake, cupcakes and cookies. An apron and mini baking kit included in fees.

Throughout the duration of the camp, participants will master the essential fundamentals of baking, which includes the critical skills of reading and accurately following recipes. This foundational knowledge is crucial, as it empowers each young baker to understand the importance of each ingredient and the role it plays in the final product. In addition to recipe reading, bakers will learn the art of measuring out ingredients with precision, which is vital for achieving the perfect balance of flavors and textures in their baked goods. They will be introduced to various measuring tools, such as cups, spoons, and kitchen scales, and will gain hands-on experience in using these tools effectively. Each day, participants will have the opportunity to practice their newfound skills by engaging in fun and creative baking projects. They will start with simple recipes and advance throughout the week, where they can express their artistic flair through various frosting techniques and toppings. At the end of this exciting week, each young baker will take home a personal box filled with their beautifully decorated cupcakes, scrumptious cookies, and possibly even a small cake they’ve crafted themselves. This not only serves as a tangible reminder of their hard work and creativity but also allows them to share their delicious treats with family and friends, showcasing their new baking skills. To ensure that each participant is well-equipped for their baking adventures, the camp fees include a stylish apron and a mini baking kit.
