Our homeschool classes are  currently held at the NISD Community Education campus at 6632 Bandera Rd, San Antonio, TX 78238.

High School Physics Class & Lab: The Forces of Gravity

Ever wondered how fast things really fall? Under our Physics I learning track, this 2-session unit offers the perfect balance of one part theory and one part interactive lab, giving high school homeschoolers a complete blend of core concepts and real-world testing. Together, we’ll explore the hidden power of Earth’s gravitational pull as students dive into the mechanics of gravitational acceleration. Throughout the unit, students will run hands-on experiments to measure falling objects, analyze their data, and learn how to predict and calculate exact results. Homeschool Biology Lab: Crayfish, Starfish and Squid Dissection

In this interactive lab, homeschool students will explore three distinct marine and freshwater body plans by dissecting a crayfish, a starfish, and a squid. By comparing an arthropod, an echinoderm, and a mollusk side-by-side, students will discover how vastly different biological systems have evolved to handle movement, feeding, and survival without a backbone.
Throughout the session, students will examine unique anatomical adaptations while practicing safe tool handling and precise scientific observation. Designed for middle and high school students, this comprehensive class provides a rich, hands-on dive into invertebrate zoology with all specimens and safety equipment included.

Middle School Physics Lab: Acoustics and Sound Waves

Students won't just learn about sound waves—they'll make some noise and see the physics firsthand! In our high-energy, interactive lab sessions, students will visualize sound frequency using tuning forks and water, test how acoustic waves bounce off different materials, and craft their own resonance tubes to calculate the speed of sound. Through these captivating hands-on experiments, students will analyze frequency, pitch, and amplitude to discover how different environments shape the sounds we hear every day.Workbooks and Completion Certificates included.

Under our Physics I learning track, this 2-session unit offers the perfect balance of one part theory and one part interactive lab, giving high school homeschoolers a complete blend of core scientific concepts and real-world testing.

Students won't just study fluid mechanics on paper—they'll get their hands messy diving into the action! In our engaging, interactive lab sessions, students will race liquids of varying viscosities, build buoyancy challenges to test displacement, and construct siphon systems to see fluid dynamics in motion. Through these exciting hands-on experiments, students will investigate density, observe how liquids and gases behave under pressure, and learn how to predict the flow of fluids in everyday life. Workbooks and Completion Certificates included.

Homeschool Biology Lab: Eel and Perch Fish Dissection

In this hands-on lab, homeschool students will compare the fascinating anatomical differences between two distinct aquatic creatures: a cartilaginous or primitive-bodied eel and a classic bony fish, the perch.
By dissecting both specimens, students will investigate how different aquatic body plans adapt for propulsion, navigation, and survival. The class covers marine anatomical systems while teaching proper lab safety, tool technique, and precise scientific observation. Designed for middle and high school students, this engaging session includes all specimens and protective equipment.

Homeschool Biology Lab: Frog and Clam Dissection

In this biology lab students will dive deep into comparative anatomy by dissecting a clam and a frog. By examining a simple invertebrate alongside a complex vertebrate, students will gain a clear understanding of how respiratory, digestive, and circulatory systems adapt across different animal kingdoms.
Throughout the class, students will explore invertebrate structures and investigate complex vertebrate organs similar to human anatomy. Additionally, they will learn proper lab safety and tool techniques. This lab is designed for middle and high school students, this course offers an engaging, beginner-friendly introduction to biological science with all specimens and safety gear provided.
